SEEF, a Fund advised by Global Finance, invested in Green Group, the largest integrated recycling group in South-Eastern Europe. During the investment period, and in line with SEEF’s strategy, Green Group established its position as the largest player of the recycling industry in South-Eastern Europe covering PET, electric and electronic waste (WEEE) and the largest operator of glass recycling plant with over €90 million consolidated revenues in 2015. The company is relying on solid investments in waste collection and recycling facilities in Romania, Serbia and FYROM.
SEEF co invested in Green Group with EBRD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which had a minority position.
The buyer, ABRIS Capital Partner, established in 2007, is a leading independent private equity fund manager, focused on mid-market opportunities in the major countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) with investment capital of over €770 million.
